What an AI Tool Can Do with Your Website

What Can an AI Tool Help You With? #

Once connected to your WebOps account, your AI tool can use supported WebOps tools to help manage your websites through conversation.

You can describe what you want to change in normal language instead of making each change manually in WordPress.

Supported areas include:

  • Website content and design
  • Pages and menus
  • Translations
  • Store products
  • SEO and website checks
  • Supported media and website settings

The exact actions available depend on the tools provided for your website.

Update Content and Design #

You can ask your AI tool to change your website content and design.

Example requests:

  • “Add a testimonials section to my homepage.”
  • “Change the heading on my About page.”
  • “Replace the banner image on my homepage.”
  • “Update the text in this section.”

Your AI tool uses the available WebOps tools to make the requested changes.

Manage Store Products #

For supported WooCommerce stores, your AI tool can help manage simple products and their content.

Example requests:

  • “Create a new product for this item.”
  • “Update the description of this product.”
  • “Put this product on sale.”

WebOps works with simple products; product variations (such as sizes or colours) are not supported. A new product is created as a draft, so publish it when you are ready for shoppers to see it.

Translate Website Content #

Your AI tool can translate your website content between English and Arabic. It writes the translation itself, so you can ask it to adjust the wording.

Example requests:

  • “Translate my About page into Arabic.”
  • “Translate this section into English.”

Keep in mind that editing English content does not automatically update the Arabic translation. You may need to request the translation separately.

Improve SEO and Run Website Checks #

Your AI tool can review your SEO settings and run website checks.

Example requests:

  • “Review the SEO on my homepage.”
  • “Check my homepage for accessibility issues.”
  • “Check this page for problems.”

The checks and SEO actions available depend on the tools provided for your website.

Preview Changes and Undo Them #

For supported changes, WebOps can use a working copy so you can review changes before publishing them.

A working copy allows changes to be made separately from your live website. You can preview the result and then publish the changes when you are ready.

Supported changes can also be undone using the available restore and revision tools.

This gives you a way to review supported changes before they become part of your live website.

What an AI Tool Cannot Do #

The WebOps MCP connection is designed to work through controlled WebOps tools. It does not provide unrestricted access to your website.

For example:

  • It cannot write arbitrary PHP or JavaScript code.
  • It can change header and footer text, but not their layout.
  • It cannot edit form fields.
  • It works with simple WooCommerce products, not product variations.

Some other website features may also have specific limitations depending on the available WebOps tools.

How Does WebOps Keep Changes Controlled? #

WebOps provides the AI tool with specific tools and supported actions instead of unrestricted website access.

Supported changes use defined operations and website settings. Where available, changes can be reviewed through a working copy before publishing.

WebOps also provides supported restore and undo capabilities so changes can be reversed when needed.

What Happens When I Add a New Website? #

A WebOps connection is associated with your account and can provide access to the websites available on that account.

After creating a new website, you may need to reconnect your AI tool before the new website’s tools become available in an existing AI tool session.

For Claude Code, you can run /mcp to access the connection and sign in again when required.

What Happens When New Tools Are Added? #

When new WebOps tools are released, they do not appear in an AI tool session that is already open. Reconnect your AI tool to see them.

A website that has not received the update yet returns an “Unknown tool” message when the AI tool tries to use one of the new tools.

Each website updates automatically within 12–24 hours, and the tool works from then on. If you need it sooner, contact WebOps support.

Example Requests to Try #

Once your AI tool is connected, you can start with simple requests such as:

  • “Show me my websites.”
  • “Add a testimonials section to my Home page.”
  • “Replace the banner image on my homepage.”
  • “Write a blog post about our new service.”
  • “Translate my About page into Arabic.”
  • “Check my Home page for contrast and accessibility issues.”

You do not need to know the name of the WebOps tool required for each request. Describe what you want to accomplish and your AI tool can use the available WebOps tools.
